Aquasource have commenced the drilling and installation of 100 number 6″ and 8″ diameter rock socketed piles at the old MFI building in Truro.
The main contractor is Midas Construction and all design services are being provided by The John Knevitt Practice.
The piles will support the installation of a new mezzanine structure in the refurbished store and the piles include some cantilevered beam structures to support beams in location where the piling rig cannot access.
The work is being successfully undertaken in a building in conjunction with lots of other trades which had the potential to cause problems but has been carried out efficiently and smoothly.
