The drilling was carried out using Down the Hole Hammer drilling techniques to a maximum depth of 147m.
Once drilling was completed a twin pipe collector, probe, was installed and the holes backfilled with thermally conductive material.
Large quantities of groundwater were encountered which had to be dealt with to complete the project.
