DECC have announced that from Monday 28th November, businesses and communities across Britain will be able to apply for a tariff payment under the Renewable Heat Incentive Scheme.
This is phase one of the RHI scheme, supporting commercial installations. Organisations can now apply to Ofgem for support under the scheme and will receive payments on a quarterly basis for heat generated over 20 years.
The Renewable Heat Incentive Scheme for commercial applications will provide payments for eligible new installations and installations which have been installed and commissioned since 15th July 2009. Recipients will be paid 4.5p per kWh for ground source heat pump installations less than 100 kWth, and 3.2p per kWh for installations 100 kWth and above.
To submit an application for the commercial RHI tariffs, visit the Ofgem website and create an RHI account.
