Ground Source Borehole Drilling
Aquasource (SW) Ltd have been instructed to carry out groundsource drilling and associated header works at a new build site near Downderry in South East Cornwall.The works comprise the drilling of 5 number boreholes for groundsource for a total depth of 528m.
The site is quite tight for access but the advantage of our new Fraste drill rig is the fact that is carries its own drill rods on a rack on the side of the rig. This also enables us to use the Fraste rod manipulator. This means that the drill rods are loaded and unloaded mechanically without the need for manual handling.
The Fraste Rig will also drill holes to around 180m in the right geology which can mean less boreholes on site with the potential to reduce manifolding and headerworks costs and also means if you do not have enough room on site for 3 x 100 metre ground source holes we could potentially drill 2 x 165 metre holes instead.
We are also likely to be constructing a water borehole to improve the supply to the site which is erratic at present.
