Domestic applications

Aquasource and Harlequin Tanks are committed to the safe storage of fuel oil and have made substantial investment in its bunded tank products to provide a wide range of vertical, horizontal  fuel oil storage tanks for domestic applications.

All Harelequin bunded tanks contain 110% of the inner tank volume and meet the requirements of:

• Control of Pollution (Oil Storage)(England) Regulations:2001

• Water Environment (Oil Storage)(Scotland) Regulations April 2006

• Control of Pollution (Silage, Slurry & Agricultural Fuel Oil) Regulations: 1991

Aquasource and Balmoral Tanks offer a range of fuel oil storage tanks for practically every domestic situation.

In areas where a risk to the environment exists, such as near a water course or on a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) site, bunded tanks should always be specified. Where low environmental risks exist it is generally safe to install a single skinned tank while Harlequin’s unique underground storage tanks are ideally suited to premises with limited external space.

In all cases, however, Harlequin Tanks would highly recommend consultation with the local Building Control officer and environmental agency such as the EA/SEPA/NIEA.
